I’m a Christian and I believe this world was created by God. It seems obvious to me that this world was created, rather than perhaps just being part of some freak event.
I just have to look around at the animals and the plants and of course, people. We live in a beautiful world full of amazing creatures. There are so many species of animals and plants and they all have some kind of purpose on Earth. Even the distance between the Sun and Earth is the optimum distance needed for us to survive. The Sun is not too close and not too far. How could that just happen?
The miracle of what goes on inside our bodies, too. I mean, there are so many cells and bits all working together, and our bodies work to fight illness and repair injuries. It’s just amazing. I believe the world and all the natural things in it were created by God. To believe in God, for me also means to believe in Jesus. To believe in Jesus means to believe the bible and what it says about how Jesus died for us.
I believe the bible is the inspired word of God, and I live my life according to how God guides me, through the bible. I am not perfect and in fact, I don’t believe I need to be. We are all imperfect and no good work I do here on Earth will get me into heaven, only my faith in Jesus.
Stepping out in faith can be hard at times but in my daily life, whatever I am doing or whatever I am going through I have a loving God. He’s always there. Being a Christian doesn’t mean I have a really easy life or that everything is always rosy. It’s not. But I live in the knowledge that God has a plan for my life and I trust him. This is not always easy as I’m a bit of a worrier. The bible says we shouldn’t worry. I’m working on that.
Ephesians 2:8-9 says “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”
